About Pastor Brett
Brett Rickey came to be the Lead Pastor of Highland Park Church in February of 2009. Brett’s ministry blends his experiences from eleven years in corporate life with his nine years as the founding pastor of FamilyChurch.tv . He also serves as a coach and mentor to new church pastors across the country and hosts Accelerate, an annual church planting conference.
Brett’s communication style is described as casual and approachable as he tries to package God’s timeless truths in a way that is relevant for our society today. His heart is to see a church, representing all generations and demographics, on fire for the Lord and moved in such a way as to intersect our community and world with the Kingdom of God.
Brett completed his undergrad at Southern Nazarene University receiving a BA in Management and earned an MA in Practical Theology from Oral Roberts University. He is also a published author whose credits include Chasing Cool: Examining the Pursuits of Your Heart, Stay in the Yard and Boomerang.
He and his wife Mindy, live in Lakeland, Florida, with their three daughters: Jessica, Kelsey, and Hope.
